CAP Job Club

Our Job Club is ready to help people find work

Working with Christian Against Poverty and the local churches we are now offering free weekly workshops to boost the job-hunting process for unemployed people by equipping them with the tools, skills and confidence to find work.

With many people facing long-term unemployment, there is a real need for a personal service which provides practical and emotional support for people to find work again. CAP Job Clubs is designed to do just this.

We already run the All Christians Together Food Bank, supporting many local individuals and families and work with our partners at Sure Start, Refuge, Friendship Care and Housing and Alvaston’s Local Area Co-ordinator. We started providing CAP’s Money budgeting course last year and the Job Club is a natural development of the support we are offering.

CAP Job Clubs will be a weekly course that combines one-to-one consultations, group support and practical sessions that cover topics such as identifying strengths, CV writing and interview techniques.

We hope that we can help people to gain the confidence and skills they need to find employment, particularly for those who may have been out of work for a long period of time.

The club runs weekly starting 11am at Boulton Lane Baptist Church, Boulton Lane, DE24 0AY. To book a place telephone 0800 3280006 or contact Linda on 07970 299356.
